Abstract
This study is focused on the characterization of wild pig habitat of Brgy. Manggitahan, Dilasag, Aurora. Using a qualitative technique, the researchers utilized a phenomenological method in gathering and analyzing data. This study used ten (10) wild pig hunters from Brgy. Manggitahan, Dilasag, Aurora. Moreover, this research employed a two (2) part questionnaire for the characterization of wild pig habitat. From the data gathered, the study revealed that the commonly called "baboy ramo" or the Sus philippensis was the most common breed of wild pigs in Brgy. Manggitahan, Dilasag, Aurora. In addition, wild pigs preferred to eat dried leaves, rotting or moldy fruits, and root and tree crops.
