Abstract
The constructed forest road for the farmer and indigenous people, the main purpose of this study is to know the benefits of constructed forest road to the Barangay Cadaclan, Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija community. It was conducted from August to December 2022. Data were obtained through a questionnaire, supplemented with personal interviews. The statistics used in the analysis of data were simple frequency count, rank and percentages. Indention In terms sociodemographic profile of the respondent in terms of age, the result revealed that 12(29.27%) respondents belong to the age range 41-50 years old, and 1 out of 41 respondents belong to the age range 71-80 (2.44%). Indention Most of the respondents are male (28) with a percentage of 68.29% and the rest are female (13) with the percentage of 31.71%. In terms of ethnicity, most of the respondent are Tagalog (28) with the percentage of 68.29% and the rest are Indigenous people (13) with a percentage of 31.71%
Results revealed that the construction of forest roads gives more advantages to the life of farmers and indigenous people especially in terms of transportation. And in terms of disadvantages of constructed forest road majority of the respondent said that there are no disadvantages to their life but some said that the destruction on the environment is the disadvantage
The social impact of forest road construction in terms of education the four indigenous children have been studying with free school supplies. In terms of livelihood, there are some livelihood programs given by the municipalities like making floor mats using the exile cloth where they can get income with. In terms of transportation, It helps a lot to the community specially to the farmer and students through which they can transport more comfortably. And in terms of marketing the harvest of the farmer and indigenous people can travel to the market or the buyer can itself pick up the harvest directly from the farm.
When it comes to the environmental impact of constructed forest road the road has drive to some kind of destruction including forest destruction, animal destruction, and the destruction of environment.
