Abstract
Gender equality is the parity principle among all genders and the right to enjoy and develop in equal conditions. The main purpose of this study is to measure gender equality among hotel employees in Baler and Dipaculao Area. More specifically, it determined the gender equality among the employees in terms of workplace gender bias, parity in appraisal and growth opportunities, natural gender differences, and gender-based work allocation; test the significant difference among the responses on gender equality when grouped according to profile; and propose an action plan to promote gender equality in the hotel industry in Baler and Dipaculao Area. Descriptive method was used whereas frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and t-test were used to further understand the data of the study. Based on the result, there was gender inequality on gender diversity in the workplace and parity on woman ang LGBTQ in assigning positions and sexual harassment. The key findings revealed that there are highly significant differences in responces with regards to their education, marital stsatus, age, and years in service when grouped according to profile variables. Gender and development training has been recommended to the hotel management for continuous awareness and implementation of gender equality. The plan of action was proposed and endorsed to the hotel management for implementation to promote gender equality in the hotel industry in Baler and Dipaculao Area.
