Summary, etc | Abstract<br/><br/>This research study entitled, Level of Acceptance of the Indigenous People towards the Establishment of Resort in Barangay Dibut, San Luis, Aurora, had the following objectives; 1) determine the effects of the presence of tourists in the livelihood of the Dumagat Tribe in Brgy. Dibut, San Luis, Aurora 2) perceived environmental impact of the establishment especially to the coastal and marine resources 3) perceived impact of the tourism industry to the culture of the Dumagat Tribe in Brgy. Dibut, San Luis, Aurora 4) recommend possible solutions to the negative implication of tourism industry to the natural resources of Brgy. Dibut, San Luis, Aurora.The instrument used for gathering data was a structured questionnaire, the researchers interviewed a total of 150 respondents composed of Indigenous people. The study was conducted at Brgy. Dibut, San Luis, Aurora.<br/><br/>Results also revealed that the establishment of Mokamodi Resort has a high impact to the environment and livelihood of Indigenous people. Tourism development can bring positive economic outcomes, personal income, increased standards of living, and more employment opportunities. However, Dumagat Tribe moderately accept the establishment of Mokamodi Homestay in their barangay. |
