Summary, etc | Abstract:<br/><br/>Online learning has become part of educational system worldwide resulted from emergence of COVID-!9 pandemic. It is one of the most contagious diseases in history of health. Due to this event, the Educational Management in the Philippines mandated all educational sector to conduct online and modular teaching to all educational sector.<br/><br/>The objectives of the study were to determine the socio demographic profile of the BS Forestry students, to identify the components of online learning which perceived as opportunities and challenges by students and to determine interventions to have effective online learning system. One hundred seventy-six students from Bachelor of Science in Forestry of ASCOT participated in this study. A survey research design was employed in this study where quantitative data were obtained from survey questionnaire.<br/><br/>The findings reveal that most of respondents were female from the age range of 18-20 years old. Mostly residing at Dipaculao, Aurora wherein internet connection is available. Majority of the respondents used mobile data as internet source and smartphone as gadget used. The study reveals that most of the respondents became self-regulated learners during online learning and identify the limitation of internet connection as topmost challenges they encounter. Respondents also identify free gadget as their leading as their leading intervention to have effective online learning.<br/><br/>The study concluded that despite of the current condition of educational system, the BS Forestry students aware and positive in online learning; Regardless on the challenges they encounter, it leads them to the development of themselves and becomes self-regulated learners and broadens their understanding on technological based knowledge. |
