520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc "Agrometeorology defines the relationship of atmospherical conditions with agricultural operations. Weather and climate significantly contribute to the performance of plants and animals. Failure to foresee their value is damaging to the productivity of agriculture.
A call for complete and accurate weather and climate forecasts has been emphasized. Similarly, the services offered by agrometeorological forecast and advisory system help the farmers plan their agricultural production.
However, an effective communication linkage between the agrometeorological servicemen and the users is necessary. Thus, farmers, local governments, regional agencies, and media services personnel were convened in a series of workshops to further assess the current agrometeorological forecast and advisory system in Nueva Ecija. They also explored the possibilities of the expansion of the system to other regions in the country.
This publication documents the papers presented during a series of seminar-workshops held at the Camarines Sur State Agricultural College (CSSAC) in Pili, Camarines Sur; Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) in Legazpi City, Albay; and Benguet State University (BSU) in La Trinidad, Benguet in 1989-1990."
- ROMAN L. KINTANAR
Director PAGASA Quezon City

CLEDUALDO B. PEREZ Executive Director PCARRD
Los Baños, Laguna
