Abstract

At Aurora State College of Technology, the use of E-books is encouraged during the time of pandemic when students cannot physically go to the library. E-books as reading materials among forestry students of Aurora State College of Technology was surveyed from August to December 2022. Survey questionnaire were administered via Google Forms. The respondents were 250 forestry students. Data revealed that most of the students are using Facebook and Google websites for gathering information where education and entertainment are the most common types of e-books read by the students. Regarding the duration, they usually consume about one to two hours a week reading E-books. Furthermore, the study revealed that E-books according to the students, were helpful to their learning and educational experience, easily accessible, and affordable. However, the students expressed certain issues and limitations in using E-book such as the limited time for reading E-book due to health purposes, in the ability to use E-book when the internet connection is poor, and the expensiveness of some E-books.
