Challenges in implementing R.A 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) at Barangay Poblacion, Casiguran, Aurora/

Specifically, to describe the profile of the respondents; know the effectiveness of the implementation of R.A 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) at selected barangays, Business Owner and MENRO Office and BLGU; determine the challenges of the selected barangays, Business Owner and MENRO Office and BLGU towards the purpose of implementing R.A 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) and help for the improvement of the implementation of R.A 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000). Result revealed that the respondents were always effective in implementing the R.A. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000). The selected barangay's including the Menro office, BLGU and business owner had conducted program and seminar regarding the proper segregation and implementation of R.A 9003 environmental laws. It revealed that their community was supported by citizens, BLGU and LGU of the community. With regards to compliance of RA 9003, the majority of the respondents recycle wastes, participate in the activities related to solid waste management. Majority of the respondents also helped in issuance and enforcement of R.A 9003. Respondents strongly agreed that they provided properly trained officer, enough workers that have MRF and strategies to reduce the volume of waste. Aside from that, respondents also strongly agreed that they have enough budget to support the implementation of R.A 9003. Findings shows that the top three positive aspects of the implementation of R.A 9003 were the positive and supportive attitude of the LGU, BLGU, MENRO, Business Owners and Households, another is the effectiveness and the awareness of the respondents, and lastly is being responsible and disciplined towards the implementation of the law. It was recommended to conduct and enhance more level of awareness of the LGU and BLGU for them to share their knowledge about the implementation of R.A 9003, related seminars and other educational activities.
