The study entitled, " Different Rates of Carbonized Rice Hull on the Growth and Yield of Eggplant (Solanum melongena)" was conducted at Aurora State College of Technology, Bazal, Maria Aurora, Aurora on January 2023 to May 2023.
Generally, the study aimed to determine the effect of different rates of carbonized rice hull as an organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of eggplant. Specifically, this study ti asses the plant height, number of branches, days to flower, number of fruits, fruit length, marketable fruits, non marketable fruits and total eggplant.
The study was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four (4) treatments and 3 replications. Treatments used were the following; 24 kg of carbonized rice hull per plot; 27 kg of carbonized rice hull per plot; and 30 kg of carbonized rice hull per plot.
Statistical analysis was done with the use of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The result of the study indicated that the application of carbonized rice hull had no significant effect using the identified rates applied. On the other hand, plant height, number of branches, days to flower, fruit number, fruit length, marketable yield and total yield were not significantly different by the varying levels of carbonized rice hull application.
