"Urgently, we need to intensify our collective efforts for the protection, conservation, and management of our environment and ecosystem. To speed up the conservation process, the people should be encouraged to participate because the government cannot do the task alone.
Although we have taken some significant studies along the participatory environmental conservation, lots of problems and constraints, issues, and concerns remain to be addressed. The symposium on Participatory Environmental Conservation and Management can help identify and spell out specific solutions to these problems." - William D. Dar
