Abstract:
This paper presents the findings of financial awareness among Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management of ASCOT: A study knowledge, attitude and practices towards personal finance. the study mainly focuses on the necessity of addressing the widespread problems of financial illiteracy. The purpose of this study is to determine the reasons behind the poor financial literacy levels. Investigating the impact of financial understanding on people's financial habits, attitudes, and knowledge, the efficiency of financial education programs and the role that socioeconomic and demographic factors have in the development of financial awareness. The participants in this study were chosen by stratified random sampling study. The 292 respondents of this research were computed using Slovin's formula and it was allocated at ASCOT. To conduct the study, the researchers used a questionnaire and demographic profile in gathering and collecting data. The study revealed the factor of having an adequate allowance will allow Hospitality Management students to set aside a small amount for savings, if an unexpected expense arises, they will only have enough to meet their needs. Most students discontinue their studies or seek employment due to lack of funds. Hospitality management is also known as a course that necessitates sufficient funds to meet all the student's needs. the overall result of this study showed that the hospitality management students of Aurora State College of Technology are financially aware.
