The present study experimentally investigated the varying frequencies of application of goat manure extract on tomato, and its response in various growth and yield and parameters including plant height, days to first flower, number and weight of fruits, marketable and non marketable fruits and total yield. Twelve test plots having 12 plants in each plot were randomly assigned and was applied with GME via drenching (once, twice, three times a week) wherein 10 samples were taken for evaluation.
Plants treated with high amounts of GME exhibited better results compared to the control. Furthermore, significant differences were observed in terms of total yield favoring twice application of GME every week, however, yield efficiency was the highest at 18% when it is applied three times a week compared to 28-29% from other treatments. Therefore, GME application in tomato could improve crop growth and development, especially in increasing the fruit yield of tomato.
