The study, "Growth and Yield Performance of Hot Pepper (Capsicum annum L.) as Affected by different levels of Moringa Leaf Extract' was conducted at Purok 1, Brgy. Florada, Maria Aurora, Aurora, from March to June 2023.
Generally, this study was conducted to determine the influence of moringa leaf extract administered through foliar spray, on the growth and yield performance of hot pepper. Specifically, the study was conducted to determine the growth performance in terms of height of the plant, and the yield performance in ters of number of fruits per plant, fruit mass, fruit length, marketable fruits, non marketable fruits and total yield of using moringa leaf extract as fertilized on hot pepper production.
A total of 144 plants were utilized in the study. The experimental plants were randomly distributed into three treatments and replicated three times using Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The different treatments were as follows: T1 (10 ml of Moringa Leaf Extract, 1 L of water), T2 (20 ml of Moringa Leaf Extract, 1 L of water) and T3 (30 ml of Moringa Leaf Extract, 1 L of water).
Pair comparison using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) shows that no significant result was obtained in terms of average plant height, number of fruits, fruit mass, fruit length, marketable fruits, non marketable fruit and total yield.
