Abstract
This study deals with the impact of increasing the price of sugar in the chosen bakeries in Maria Aurora, Aurora. The result will demonstrate how various bread products have changed in terms of (a) taste; (b) portion size; and (c) selling price.
In Maria Aurora, Aurora, eight (8) registered bakeries affected by a rise in sugar prices participated in the study. Total enumeration techniques were used to collect data utilizing printed survey questionnaires. The Likert scale description was also used to analyze and understand the data.
The findings show that owners and bakers are still operating their businesses despite certain difficulties brought on by the rising price of sugar. They are developing certain measures to manage their bakery business to survive in such circumstances. Despite the difficulties, the owners and bakers try to overcome consumers still complain about the bakery products' changes, even in their selling prices. The bakery businesses and owners are afraid every time there is an increase in the price of sugar because it will affect the quality of their products. They make changes, but they don't always do it every time there is an increase in the price of sugar.
