Preparation of fourth-year education students to take the board lincesure examination for professional teacher/

The study's respondents are fourth-year education students of Aurora State College of Technology. Researchers utilized the descriptive research method through survey questionnaires to gather the data needed. The compiled data were analyzed using frequency count, percentage , and weighted mean. Out of 127 respondents, most of them are Science Major. the study revealed that most students strongly desire to achieve their goals and excel academically to pass the board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). A t the same time, the learning method showed that the respondents listened to every lecture. the strongly agree with the proposed methods, such as practicing answering situational questions and reviewing their weakest subjects. The results indicate that fourth-year students are very well-prepared to take the BLEPT. Furthermore, it is recommended that education students should wisely choose their major/specialization according to their ability and academic inclination. The education students should enhance their critical thinking skills through meta-cognitive methods, exhaust all possible learning resources, and develop their time management. Likewise, the faculty should integrate into their classes additional lessons covered by BLEPT, review sessions, BLEPT-type tests, mock pre-board exams, and others. It was also recommended that Education students should consider effective solutions that could address their academic weaknesses.

Abstract:
